Mammography is a diagnostic examination that allows for the specific study of the structure and composition of the mammary gland, in order to identify formations or anomalies, even of small dimensions (before they become palpable), through the use of ionising radiation. Our mammography is a state-of-the-art digital mammography with low-dose tomosynthesis.
Does mammography pose risks for implants?
The examination rarely compromises implants, as the tomosynthesis mammogram requires less compression during image acquisition. Today, many women have implants, and our radiology technicians (women) pay maximum attention during the execution of the examination.
